The embassy ranks well as far as responding to emails and mailing Packets 3 and 4 by email. As far as the interview, the first person my fiance talked with (the first interview) was EXTREMELY rude and seemed like she was looking down to him. When she reviewed his financial info (well, my financial info) she told him that the K1 visa can´t have a co-sponsor and that I don´t qualify to sponsor him because I have lived in El Salvador for 2 years and haven´t filed taxes (which is why we had a co-sponsor...). She kept opening her eyes really wide and saying ¨You CAN´T be a BURDEN to the STATE¨ and ¨We need PROOF that you´re going to WORK.¨ Even though he has worked him whole life and I have too and neither of us have ever had any troubles with the law or drugs. She told him he had to get an ORIGINAL letter fom an employer in the States saying that they were offering him a job, the position, number of hours per week, and salary. I have to run, but I´ll be back to finish this ... read complete review

K1 VISA INTERVIEW
In El Salvador, you have to attend two appointments. The first one is for the reception of the documents and the sencond one is when you have the interview.
It was a good experience. Things just went as I expected it. All my documents
In El Salva
were in order and the consul only made some specific questions.
I first attended window 12 where I was finger printed, then I was told that I would soon have my interview. Within 15 minutes I was in window 12, the consul reviewed all the documents, she asked me some general questions and she was kind and cordial through the interview. She congratulated us for our coming marriage.
I most admit that I was feeling a bit anxious, mainly because I was not sure what I would be asked, but everything went expedite and without any troubles. It was a good experience overall.
Now I am waiting for my passaport to be delievered home via Cargo... read complete review

So now in El Salvador you are required to attend two interviews... The first they review you paperwork and in the second they interview you and take your fingerprints. We were extremely lucky and both of our interviews went to smoothly! The people were VERY friendly to my husband.
The first interview was on 5-2-2008 at 7:30 AM, they were mainly wanting to see theI-864.. and who his co-sponsor were (my parents). That is all they asked him that time...they asked for : I-864, POlice certificate, bith certificates, marriage certificate. They also kept his passaport.
On second interview which was on 5-9-2008 the interview was at 12:00 pm. My husband was there at 11:00 and starting to make line at 11:30. the second interview took a total of about 2 hours. First he was called to a window and his fingerprints were taken. Then he was called to another window and he was interviewed by an American lady who had a heavy spanish accent, but was extremely nice. S... read complete review

The embassy was very good to us :D.. we got our visa aprooved in like 5 minutes!.. the lady was super nice, she only asked like 5 questions.. didnt ask for any type of evidence... she even laughed at my stupid jokes! like when she asked if i've ever had any problem with the police and I said No.. cause im a good girl! ... so it was a very good experience...
No complaints at all..-
God did it all!

As for the first part of the interview (cause now we have to attend 2 interviews)... everything went ok... the lady was nice... and she asked simple questions.. didnt ask for any kind of relationship evidence and she said i wont need it with the consul when we see him for the second interview cause they have evidence already.. which has me really surprised!!.. they only look at my fiance's taxes reports... and that was it!
So in general everything went just smoothly :D...
God is so good to us.. he made this interview easier for us..and i know he will do a wonderful thing at the second interview...
